Jewelry Repair in Prince Frederick & Dunkirk

In addition to the many beautiful pendants, rings, bracelets and other fine pieces of merchandise sold in our jewelry store, we also provide repair services. At Dickinson Jewelers, our jewelers use the latest technology and most up to date equipment to perform a wide variety of repairs including ring sizing, chain repair, charm soldering and prong re-tipping.  One of our most popular services is a “Check, tighten, clean and polish’ during which our jewelers fully inspect each item for loose stones and tighten them, polish and clean the item, and even redo the bright rhodium finish on white gold. All of our repairs are returned to you looking as good as new.

Watch Repair

Perhaps your watch stopped working, and a new battery did not remedy the issue. Our professional jewelers know how to take apart watch casings and repair or replace the intricate mechanisms. We can also help you replace a battery or supply a new watch band for your watch, replace your watch crystal and be sure your watch is operating at its best.

Resetting

If you have a diamond or gem from a pendant that you would like put on a ring or vice versa, we can help with that. We can find or create a custom setting that fits your stone or stones perfectly and accentuates their beauty. Our CAD program allows you to be actively involved in the design process as it makes changes and completes the final rendering of your creation, right before your eyes.

Antique Jewelry Restoration

Many people inherit family jewelry heirlooms that after years of wear require a little “TLC” to restore their durability and beauty before being worn by the next generation. Professional polishing and cleaning, re-tipping prongs, replacing the back section of a worn ring, replacing missing diamonds and gems and repairing delicate filigree in antique jewelry are just a few of the services we provide.  Our laser allows us to repair even the most delicate antique jewelry. Our jewelers are also able to convert inherited jewelry into new kinds of jewelry, such a turning a ring in to a pendant, a pin into a bracelet and cuff links into earrings.
